ABOUT

Home-ed doesn't have to be hard.

You don't need to do it all or have all the answers.

You just need to be curious, together.

I help home-ed families make their learning journey easy and fun

through big questions, hands-on adventures, simple resources

and an occasional (gentle) pep-talk.

Hi there!

I'm Anna,

A home-ed mum of two now teenage boys, curious-question-collector, and passionate believer that learning should be joyful, meaningful and a bit magical!

I created Knowmads because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by options, unsure where to start, and totally exhausted from trying to do it all. I’m here to help you ditch the pressure, spark your child’s natural curiosity, and rediscover the kind of learning that actually feels good — for your whole family.

How it all started...

When we started our home-ed journey over a decade ago, I was constantly second-guessing myself. I wanted my boys to love learning, but I was drowning in half-finished curriculums, Pinterest boards, and way too many tabs open in my brain.

Things shifted when I stopped trying to recreate school at home… and started following curiosity instead. Big questions turned into deep dives. Conversations led to hands-on projects. Our days became simpler, slower, and so much richer.

Somewhere along the way, I discovered how much I love sharing that spark with others too. I began teaching hands-on history and science to other home-ed kids, both in person and online, and it lit me up. There’s just something magical about exploring the world together and watching ideas come alive in curious young minds.

Now, through Knowmads, I get to do more of what I love: creating joyful, meaningful learning experiences that help busy home-ed families feel inspired, connected, and confident — without the stress and overwhelm of having to do it all.

What others say about my approach

Anna's sessions have thoughtful planning behind them, and a lovely relaxed vibe. My kids (and I) find them enjoyable and informative.

We really enjoy Anna's sessions. Activities are always fun and well thought out. Very hands on which kids love.

Interesting, fun sessions, which make science relevant to the world we live in, and engage young minds. My son absolutely loves going. My only criticism is that they aren't often enough!

Some fun facts about me...

I was born in Poland but have called England home for over 20 years.

Before home-ed life, I did Masters Degree and worked in tourism - so wanderlust runs deep!

I'm a recovering perfectionist and a proud lover of self-help books and craft supplies I definitely don't need.

I once tried to "paint a bookshelf" and ended up repainting the entire living room.

I speak five languages (but still somehow struggle to remember why I walked into a room).

In 2023, our family of four packed our backpacks and travelled around the world for six months — it was messy, magical, and the best kind of educational adventure!
